With the F1 Grand Prix kicking off this weekend in Australia, many Formula One race enthusiasts are getting ready for the British Grand Prix this summer. Purchasing their tickets early, the excitement and anticipation of the weekend’s events are in full flow and preparing potential transport is essential.

Built on the site of a World War II Royal Air Force bomber station, Silverstone has hosted the Grand Prix since 1948 and plays a large part in British motoring heritage. Today, thousands of spectators flock to the race track every year to witness the F1 events and entertainment. We receive a lot of quotes from customers each day looking for luxury vehicles, ranging from 8 seater minibuses with tables to large luxury coaches that can hold 29 people. What we have found over the years, is that the terminology people use ranges differently.

These terms can vary from land yachts, luxury mini coaches and luxury minibuses. However, the key thing to remember when booking a vehicle is that they can easily be split into two types; minibuses (usually between 8 and 16) and coaches (anything greater). From there, you then decide whether you would like a luxury minibus/coach or standard, and so on.

Regardless of what term the client might use, they may not always know which vehicle they want or more importantly, need.

Other valued information, usually disregarded by  customers and even some coach operators,  is how old the vehicle is and whether it is or isn’t considered ‘luxury’. In our industry the word luxury is used very loosely, with some operators classing a luxury vehicle as a 5 to 10 year old minibus with basic features.

All of our luxury vehicles are Mercedes Benz vehicles that are less than 3 years old with most being less than 1 year old. All of the luxury vehicles have full leather seating, air conditioning/climate control and other features, internally as well as externally, which ensure they are classed as ‘luxury’ in the industry.
